Prison Ministry
...................................................................................................................................................................................................................

'I came not for the righteous but for the sinners.' Mt. 9:13.
'When I was in prison you came to visit me.' Mt. 25: 36

As Jesus says He came for the sinners and not for the virtuous, we venture into prison ministry to give support to the prisoners who either for their own crimes or innocently are caught in the prison.

We also remember Sr. Zdenka who was condemned innocently for obeying her conscious in helping a priest in need. She suffered severely in the prison and died as a martyr. Through her intersession we pray for the conversion of the hard hearted prisoners.

Objectives:

+ To approach them lovingly so that they may come back into the main stream
+ To gain confidence to rebuild their lives and to explore the goodness in them.
+ To realize that they can become useful persons to their families and to the society
+ To rehabilitate them morally, socially, psychologically, spiritually and economically

Activities:

+ Educating the youth and women behind the bars to complete matriculation.
+ Meeting the victim's family to console and strengthen them
+ Visiting the prisoners to give a feeling that they are loved and cared.
